About me

Hey, welcome to Martin Wait Fonts.

My name is Martin, and this is my website, MartinWaitFonts.com

Looking back, lettering and type design was probably a strange career choice, after all I’m color-blind and dyslexic. The career choice may have been strange but, with over two-dozen popular display type designs and many logotypes to my credit, it was certainly the right one.

I began designing type for Letraset. I sent them a sketch for an typeface design – which they rejected. They liked my handlettering, however, and my first typefaces were based on previous lettering jobs. I was absolutely hooked and I’ve been designing typefaces and creating logotypes ever since. My logos clients are as diverse as Tetley’s (tea), Radio Times (BBC) and Alpen (a Weetabix cereal). You can see more of my work here.

I live and work in Essex, England, where, when I’m not working on corporate identity projects or a typeface design, I can usually be found staring through the business end of a high-powered telescope or golf club. I’m an amateur astronomer and avid golfer. You can see some of my web design work at the Turrock Astronomy Web site.

Isn’t it frustrating when you can never find the perfect font for your project? I love finding new fonts from designers around the world and showcasing them on my site, as well as a few that I have designed!

If you’re looking for the perfect font to complete your next project, look no further! We’ve got a wide variety of beautiful typefaces on offer. You’ll be able find everything from playful and modern fonts all the way through old fashioned stone carvings right here on our humble website.

I hope you enjoy using this excellent font resource.
